"Video footage is undeniable." October 06 2011, 0 Comments

An Illinois man and his girlfriend were both charged with residential burglary and attempted residential burglary on Tuesday.   Surveillance footage shows Tyler J. McDaniel, of Caseyville, IL, attempting to break into a neighbor's home before succeeding in breaking into that of another.   "Video footage is undeniable," according to Caseyville Police Chief, J.D. Roth.   The owners of the first home McDaniel burglarized had recently installed a low-end surveillance system following a burglary this past August. When confronted by authorities, McDaniel initially denied any involvement, but eventually admitted to stealing a guitar and jewelry from the residences. Police allegedly found heroin and drug paraphernalia in McDaniel's bedroom as well.   McDaniels' girlfriend, Victoria Larsson, told authorities they sold most of the stolen property to buy heroin.   McDaniel is being held on $100,000 bail, while Larsson is being held on $75,000 bail.
